The Rolex Submariner 16610 was introduced in 1988 and featured the brand’s longest-serving movement, the automatic Rolex calibre 3135 with date at 3 o’clock. The Rolex Submariner 16610LV Kermit was introduced in 2004 to commemorate the Submariner’s 50th anniversary. It featured a black “MAXI” dial with bigger hour markers and hands than the normal 16610 Date. In addition, the Kermit has a unique green bezel inlay. The 93250 oyster bracelet was used on both the Rolex Submariner 16610LV and the Rolex Submariner 16610 Date.

Non-lug hole casings will be found on the majority, if not all, 16610LVs. The engraved inner rehaut displaying the serial number at the 6 o’clock position is also found on late examples of the Rolex Submariner 16610LV, dating from 2008.
